Men's Department
Men, together in fellowship
The Men’s department seeks to bring men together to work in fellowship, to study the Word of God and take our rightful position as God's chosen men.
The Pilgrim Men's ministry is led by Paul Harris.
The purpose of the department is to extend the kingdom of God by bringing other men to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
We seek to encourage both old and young men to make a commitment to God. On the the last Sunday of each month the men lead the church service and we seek to teach and train men in leadership skills. This is an ideal an ideal time for the development of men in this area.
The mens department will also periodically meet for bible study and social fellowship events. This provides occasion for inspiration, instruction, business and fellowship. The men also seek to make links with there like minded christian men around the nation. This was exemplified at a Mens Conference held at the church when we had invited speakers from Hull and Sheffield.
The conference was an exciting and inspirational event bringing both young and old men from across the city to share some great spiritual truths from the bible. We had some inspirational and challenging words from one of our main guest speakers Rev George Miller.
The men’s department has a vision and strategy based around the following:
Numerical growth - engage with the local community.
Develop specific roles within Nottingham for men to provide support within the community
Incorporate young men into active roles within the department
Infectious spirituality comprised of prayer, worship and love
Fund Raising the targets set out by the church under the Operation First Fruits agenda
