Women's Department:

The Pilgrim Womens department seeks to honour God through service to God and others.

Throughout the history of the church the women’s ministry has been a significant benefactor in the life of the church. The Pilgrim Women’s department seeks to bring women closer to God and fulfilling their potential through fellowship, prayer, bible study and ministries’.  The women’s department sets out to encourage women to have strong spiritual and fellowship values that will lead them to fulfil their potential as women to impact their families, the community and the world.

The women’s department is place for women to praise God and deepen their relationship in worship and service. The women take a large active role in the life of the church.  The Women’s department provides tremendous resource in terms of fellowship, organising, attendance and administration.

Other ministries lead by the women’s department are; home and hospital visits, flower arranging and regular Prayer meetings on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm.

The women’s department has a strong tradition of leading worship in particular the singing and music ministry. Sis Daisy Weaver in her ministry as the church organist and church choir director is closely aligned to the women’s department.

Throughout the year the women would be organising social events such as coffee mornings, community gatherings, women’s conferences and home visits.

The women have been involved in numerous projects providing catering for both local and community events.

The church celebrates mothers by having a spectacular Mothering Sunday Service when every mother present receives flowers.

Patricia Gibson, women’s leader quoted,

“ My vision is to see the women’s department active and go getting for the Lord – Women who are Christ centred”.
