Knife Crime Project

Encouraging hope. Promoting positive choices. Building safer communities.

Our Positive Messages Knife Crime Project has enabled us to work alongside local barbers and hairdressers to share inspirational words of hope and create a campaign video that spreads a powerful message across Nottinghamshire.

Developed by the Pilgrim Church Community Action Hub, this initiative seeks to promote positive identity, encouragement and responsible decision-making — helping to avert any involvement with knife crime.

All campaign designs were created by our Community Hub project team, and the initiative was proudly funded by the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office.

Why This Matters

Knife crime affects families, schools and entire communities.

We believe prevention begins with:

• Positive messaging
• Visible role models
• Community partnership
• Early encouragement

This project exists to shift the narrative — from fear and reaction to empowerment and hope.

Take the Positive Messages Pledge

We are seeking 100 young people from across Nottinghamshire to sign up to our Positive Messages Knife Crime Pledge.

By signing the pledge, you are choosing to:

  • Reject knife crime
